The Opening Chapter (Sura Al Fatiha)
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Praise be to God, The Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds;
Most Gracious, Most Merciful;
Master of the Day of Judgment.
Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.
Show us the straight way,
The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace,
those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.
~The Holy Qur'an (Translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
This is one of the most important Suras in the Holy Qur'an. It reminds us to walk on the right, blessed path that is filled with God's Grace, not to chose the path where we have fallen into error, nor of those who have gone astray. We must change direction if we are not going the right way.
For God is Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

On Vegetarianism (Teachings of the Saints)
One month of vegetarianism will acquire blessings and attract the protection of deities, thus one may avoid many disasters.
With one year of vegetarianism , one will acquire a lot of merits due to the reducing of the much bad deeds, and thereby attract the blessings naturally.
With ten years of vegetarianism, radiant light will emanate from the top of one’s head, and the deities and guardian angels who always accompany the light will protect one from all catastrophes, and the devils dare not intrude or disturb, thus one develops wisdom, intelligence. One’s appearance will also brighten due to these blessings.
IF ONE IS A VEGETARIAN FOR LIFE, HIS THREE GENERATIONS WILL ENJOY GOOD FORTUNE.

A new beginning
I adopted a lacto-vegetarian diet in 2000, and I was happily surprised by the changes in my health and lifestyle. In 2008, I finally gave up dairy products and I became a vegan, adopting a cruelty-free lifestyle. I have found it to be one of the most gratifying actions I have ever taken in my life.
I learnt that the vegan lifestyle is one of the most compassionate, peaceful, noble, wise and loving way to live. And so began my new vegan journey, learning so many new things upon my path. I have had my ups and downs on this journey and have had to make adjustments in many aspects of my life. I have no regrets about the choices I have had to make and I continue to learn new things everyday of my life.
I learnt that the vegan lifestyle is one of the most compassionate, peaceful, noble, wise and loving way to live. And so began my new vegan journey, learning so many new things upon my path. I have had my ups and downs on this journey and have had to make adjustments in many aspects of my life. I have no regrets about the choices I have had to make and I continue to learn new things everyday of my life.
